Debrecen has always had a regional part for centuries and it is the centre of North-Tiszántúl.
In the city centre visitors can experience Mediterranean atmosphere and approching Nagyerdő they can enjoy cosy cafés, tee-rooms, confectioneries and restaurants offering traditional local dishes and specialities awaiting for them.

Tram 2 launches on 1st of March
Debrecen – The CAF trams got their licence for operation as they had a successful probation service. They will be put into the customers’ service next March.
The railway track turned into green on Mester street
Debrecen – The tram tracks have been grassed on the operational part of line 2 between Mester and Csemete street.
The Big Forest Stadium has the strongest grass carpet in the country
Debrecen – The grass carpet was created in such a way that has never been used before on Hungarian football fields. The grass is out of use now, so it mustn’t be walked.
Debrecen airport: the railway transfer place is under the roof
Debrecen – Shaping the Intermodal Centre at the airport is under progress, the frame of the transfer-and serving hall has already been built, the paving coverage has been finished.
Everyday flights from Debrecen to London but none to Dortmund
