Debrecen has always had a regional part for centuries and it is the centre of North-Tiszántúl.
In the city centre visitors can experience Mediterranean atmosphere and approching Nagyerdő they can enjoy cosy cafés, tee-rooms, confectioneries and restaurants offering traditional local dishes and specialities awaiting for them.

There are headlights already in the Stadium at the Big Forest
Debrecen – The two third part of the Stadium is already completed. The irrigation and heating system have been built up and the roof has been covered.
The big room in the Apollo Cinema has become 3D
Debrecen – The big room, the sound and picture of which was modernized, has been opened with the premier of Meatloaf from the blue 2- The 3D film named The second course.
The Jewish district is under renovation in Debrecen
Debrecen – The biggest renovation ever has started in the 120-year-old synagog in the Pásti street. The Jewish district is under renovation sponsored by 520 million forints of financial source of the Government and the Union. The prayer room is going to be repaired and accomodation for the pilgrims is to be created in the Hall.
The Debrecen Thermal Spa is getting a new face
Debrecen – New pools, saunas, different inner place- The Debrecen Thermal Spa is under renewal. The Spa is open during the construction work.
The new trams are already half way in their test-drive
Debrecen – The two prototype trams have already completed their 6 thousand kilometers test drive from the necessary 10 thousand kilometers that is recquired to get the licence. The deadline is the end of October.
