Debrecen and the neighbouring towns offer high level events and programmes to visitors all year round.
The cultural, sports, traditional and gastronomic events of national and international importance that are held every year are preferred both by children and grown-ups.
Several visitors must have heard of typical events of our region such as Flower Carnival of Debrecen, Jazz Days, Turkey Days, Hortobágy International Equestrian Days, Hortobágy Bridge Fair, Hajdú Week in Hajdúböszörmény or Lake Vekeri Festival and the so called Kotta Festival preferred by young people.
