Cafes
Not only the pubs and restaurants can add some extra colour to the gastronomical offer of the city. There are several places in the city center where splendid cafés are waiting for the visitors.
Debrecen used to be the city of cafés. There was a time when the number of these cafés was smaller but during the latest years the city has been trying to increase this number. Elegant, cosy, stylish cafés opened one after the other mainly in the city center, on the Main Square, to offer wide range of coffee specialities.
These cafés are highly visited since in daytime there is always a kind of nostalgic atmosphere in them, and you can feel the world of the Hungarian Cafés of the 19-th century.
