Wine festival: In the University Garden at the first weekend of August
Debrecen – The greatest wine festival ever of the Northern Plain region with 14 wine fields and 38 Hungarian winehouses was organized at the University Garden ina totally new surrounding.
Wine experts can taste the greatest wine of our national wine fields while listening to good pieces of music at the first weekend of August in Debrecen. Right next to the Big Forest, in front of the building of Debrecen University in the University Garden the most impressive wine festival of the Nothern Plain region is organized every year under the name of the greatest Hungarian wine..
The visitors of the festival can taste wine from 14 wine fields (Villány-Siklós, Szekszárd, Balatonfüred-Csopak, Badacsony, Balaton-felvidék, Tokaj, Eger, Mátra, Kunság, Hajós-Baja, Sopron, Somló) and also 40 wine houses, along with palinka-, fruitwine-, and champange tasting. The old winegarden of Debrecen, Érmellék, is also presented here at the festival.
