Tram 2 launches on 1st of March
Debrecen – The CAF trams got their licence for operation as they had a successful probation service. They will be put into the customers’ service next March.
The local government signed a contract about the transportation of the vehicles on the basis of the previous licence for operation with the representatives of the tender winner Spanish CAF in October 2011. The first tram from the 18 arrived in Debrecen in May 2013. The first two CAF tram started their probation service in July. The vehicles had to cover 10 thousands kms having different circumstances to get the licence for operation. The two vehicles fullfilled the probation service successfully.
According to the authority the CAF trams along with their technical equipments and installations correspont to the technical specifications so they managed to have the licence for operations on 5 December.
